At first, the climb
is easy on wide plank-like stairs, and appearing almost immediately on our
left, are spectacular panoramic views of Marin County and
beyond. Soon the steps become railroad ties and as we near the
top, the climb evolves into a winding, narrow dirt passageway smacked
intermittently with sharp, jutting stones.
At the top,
there is nothing to do but sigh. Oh-h-h this and aw-w-w
that. It's a clear day, so we can see San Francisco and
all of Marin. Take
a look. Somewhere on a hill just below us, a couple
of guys are playing guitars, adding an even sweeter note to the
experience. It's almost too much to take in and hope
to remember.
We have our lunch,
which tastes particularly good now, and sit quietly meditating
on the bigness of it all.

what's up this season!

As we imagine the crowds flocking
from the city for this unique experience with their picnic baskets and
blankets, we are wishing it was a warm afternoon in May or June, the
only months the productions are offered.
