Hula Dancer Pictures 

Beautiful young girls – some Mexican, some American – dressed in brilliant costumes are doing the Hula.  

In perfect sync, their bodies sway and twist so delicately, they could be mistaken for paper flowers.  

Like the rest of the audience, we watch, mesmerized as they take turns in groups and solos, all perfect and tireless, an oasis for our eyes.

It's easy to spot the instructor who is sitting up straight near the front, nodding and smiling.  She's an American, apparently sharing her skills with the local high school girls.  Her pride is not unfounded; it is the most professional Hula I have ever seen.

After an hour or so, it ends and we go in search of our lodging.  We find it on a side street.

It's our second glimpse of the magic!
